Pongal Celebrations at College: A Day of Joy and Unity

The anticipation was palpable as our college announced the competition details for Pongal celebrations. We were thrilled to participate in the festivities, donning our vibrant ethnic attire and radiating joy.

Three exciting competitions were lined up: Pongal preparation, rangoli with the thought-provoking theme of war and peace, and pot painting. The atmosphere was electric as we joined forces with our seniors, bonding over music, art, and tradition.

My talented friends took center stage, mesmerizing us with solo and group songs, and thought-provoking Pongal speeches. The first-year students stole the show, winning the top spot in the Pongal preparation competition!

Our college transformed into a picturesque Pongal setting, complete with an adorable and organic pongal setup. The pièce de résistance was the sweet pongal lunch provided by our college, savoring which was the perfect culmination to our joyous celebrations.

It was a day that will be etched in our memories forever – a celebration of heritage, unity, and the spirit of togetherness."
